Sustainability.
Made fluent in the languages of your teams.

  • A design-led sustainability consultancy.
  • Based in Wales. Global reach.

We exist to close the gap between sustainability commitment and operational delivery.

Our approach

Sustainability is the discipline of designing for the long term

Sustainability works best when it lives inside how the organisation runs. Not in a document. Not in a separate function. Not in a quarterly report.

We design how sustainability strategy actually gets delivered. The work that turns commitment into how every team plans, decides, and operates.

That includes environmental impact, social value, and the communities you serve.

In practice

A water company sets its 2040 leakage and pollution targets. The design question is not the target. It is which decisions being made right now need to be reshaped around it, so that every step builds evidence and improvement the regulator can use today.

  • Translate sustainability into the language every team already uses
  • Design what good looks like, then stress-test it before you commit
  • Build social value into how you deliver, not into a separate report
  • Design for the long term, not the quarterly report
  • Build capability that lets change continue after we leave
  • Digital estate audits
  • Carbon-aware service redesign
  • Lifecycle assessments for digital products
  • Sustainable-by-design product development
Why Lantela

What we bring to the work.

Design Council Skills for Planet qualified trainer

Through Cory Hughes, Lantela is qualified to deliver Design Council Skills for Planet training. The qualification is national, issued against a published blueprint. It is the foundation of our Design for Planet training offer.

Testing before committing

Many sustainability programmes ask you to commit to the long term while working with current uncertainty. Lantela designs in increments you can test before they scale across the organisation. So your next move is a considered path to the future, with a realistic plan that delivers today

Welsh roots, global reach

Wales has pioneered some of the most ambitious sustainability legislation anywhere, from the Well-being of Future Generations Act to the Procurement Reform Act. We work with these frameworks in practice, and we understand what it takes to translate their principles into operational change.
